I’m Beth Wangler, author of imaginative stories to inspire hope and wonder.
I have loved stories since before I could read.
Growing up, I had a voracious appetite for books and loved nothing better than losing myself in a story. On one particular day around third grade, I paused in reading to realize that I could add books to the world, not just consume them. I’ve been writing ever since.
I predominantly write fantasy and science fiction, though I occasionally branch out into poetry or fairy tales. I write to entertain, inspire wonder, share hope, and explore truth. When not writing, I teach History and English, read, watercolor, sew, and crochet.
Stories serve many purposes in our lives.
They provide us with doors through which we can escape into our imaginations and explore new worlds.
They provide us with windows through which we can safely explore the difficult parts of our own world.
They provide us with a forum for dialogue with other minds, enabling us to explore other worldviews and better empathize with those around us.
They provide us with courage to face our daily struggles.
