April Anniversaries

April is a big month of anniversaries for me—particularly this week. A year ago today, I published "The Lake of Living Water." Tomorrow marks the six-year anniversary of my very first publication, The Weavers' Blessing. There are several festivities happening this week! I recorded a Q&A video today about "The Lake of Living Water." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjWesdLAz8Q&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3oaIfD0U_yZ_qa1AeKrB4YQak65Ga3m94JNPDlUGvRqP6H7JSSxmqV3lEContinue reading April Anniversaries

Featured Story: The Wolf at the Door

Friends, Phoenix Fiction Writers' Antihero anthology came out two days ago! It's been a weekend full of celebration: Livestream parties on Facebook and Youtube, sweet roll baking, boba tea, and The Crimes of Grindelwald (and, of course, writing, because it's still NaNoWriMo). I finished reading all of the short stories in this anthology on Friday, the day … Continue reading Featured Story: The Wolf at the Door

Featured Books: The Beaumont and Beasley Series

I love reading, and I enjoy a lot of books. Every so often, though, I run into a book or series that stands above the rest, that sucks me in and draws me fully into another world. Kyle Robert Shultz's Beaumont and Beasley series is just such a series, and I'm honestly surprised that I haven't … Continue reading Featured Books: The Beaumont and Beasley Series

Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Five

Welcome to the last chapter of Noemi's Dragon!  We've finally made it 🙂  If you need a refresher on previous chapters, or if you're just now discovering this story, please look here. Captain Harbin wasn’t much for thinking about the past; he was a man of action.  Before this, the worse moments of his life had … Continue reading Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Five

Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Four

Here's the second-to-last chapter!  For previous chapters, look here. Everywhere Queen Laurene looked, there were ashes and rubble.  Gone were the stately stone walls stretching toward the sky.  She had greeted the day at a small window in her bedroom wall every morning since her marriage to King Nicolas twenty years earlier.  Now, that wall … Continue reading Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Four

Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Three

For previous chapters, look here 🙂 Sir Lamar heard ringing in his ears.  That was what first alerted him to things not being quite right.  He shouldn’t hear anything with the wax in his ears. Color flooded into his eyes, and he remembered where he was.  The Wyrm was attacking.  He sprung to his feet … Continue reading Noemi’s Dragon: Chapter Twenty-Three
