I would like to take this moment to address all of you who are my dear comrades in the endless battle called school: Congratulations.  We made it through another semester :D

Now, folks, I’m just SO THRILLED to be on break! :) :) :)  No deadlines looming over my head…

No more horrible essays to write about things that don’t really make a difference in the world…

No more driving miles and miles in traffic just to circle for hours looking for a parking spot…

No more classes with that one teacher I really didn’t like…

(Note: That’s not actually my teacher…just so you know.)

And when I clicked “send” on that email that turned in my last essay for the semester, ooh, boy, did it feel good :)  It was like instantly, loads of pressure melted away.  I have this theory that school’s bad for people (ironic, since I want to become a teacher…but that’s another story entirely), since it always feels like I have a whole new lease on life once it ends.

So, right now, I’m basking in the joy of freedom.  I mean, I can actually crochet without it being procrastination, I can watch any movie I want without feeling guilty for not working on that stupid essay, I can call up my friends and find out what’s been happening in their lives for the past couple months…

With that in mind, I thought I’d wish you a merry Christmas now, just in case I don’t end up writing anything more before then.  Who knows, I may write two posts a day (I mean, I don’t have any homework to fill my non-working hours, woohoo!!), or I may not write anything else till after the twenty-fifth of December.  I just don’t know.  But golly, I’m free to write what I please!! No academic essays (have I ever told you that I don’t like thesis statements?  I think they’re incredibly repetitive and pointless.  Teachers want you to prove your point without filling your paper with a bunch of repetitions, yet they have you tell them what you’re going to say, and then have you go ahead and say it.  It’s like if I told you, “I got you a pony for Christmas! Now I’m going to prove it to you by explaining this, this, and this.”  But I digress) for a month.

And the oranges on our tree are nearly ripe, which means chomping on juicy, delicious citrus and drinking freshly-squeezed orange juice from freshly-picked oranges.  Mmmmm, the potential is inspirational.

So, yeah, that was a lot of stuff you didn’t need to know (in case you couldn’t tell, I’m just a little excited to be out of school for break!), just so I could tell you that I hope you have a very

And, while I’m at it, I may as well share with you one of my new favorite Christmas songs…

Merry Christmas, and may God bless you and you bless Him.
